CU Boulder’s recreation centers are great places to meet people, explore new hobbies, and stay active. Here are some things you need to know about heading to the recreation center this fall.
Facility
Both the Main Student Recreation Center and Williams Village Recreation Center are open to full-fee paying students. Each recreation center is equipped with a variety of exercise equipment, including weights, cardio and functional fitness.
The main Student Recreation Center also has a new functional fitness space that will provide additional training areas, along with new equipment, and will be used for a variety of classes, including F45 and CrossFit.
Fitness classes and training
Fitness & Wellness offers group classes and training opportunities to help you stay motivated, find a workout buddy, and work toward your goals. Here are some options to check out this year.
Group Fitness Classes: With a Be Fit Pass, you can join over 65 group fitness classes every week, including yoga, cycling, cardio, strength training, F45 and more. Take advantage of our early bird sale from August 1st to September 3rd.

One of the great things about living in Boulder is unfettered access to the great outdoors, and if you’re interested in getting outdoors, Outdoor Pursuits can help you get started or keep it going.
Trips and Courses: Outdoor Pursuits offers trips and courses for activities such as hiking, backpacking, climbing and avalanche safety.
Wilderness Workshop: Learn basic outdoor skills with our Wilderness Workshops. Topics include backcountry cooking, animal tracking, plant identification, survival skills and more.

Team Sports
Sports are a fun way to stay active, meet new friends, and find community on campus. Here are some ways you can get involved in sports at CU Boulder.
Intramural (IM) sports: The Recreation Center hosts several intramural sports leagues throughout the year. You can register as a team or join a team as a free agent by purchasing a semester or yearly Sports Pass. No experience is required to play and all levels of skill are welcome. Sports passes provide unlimited access to IM sports for $25 per semester or $45 per year.
Sports club: Compete with other universities through sports clubs. CU Boulder currently has 30 men’s, women’s and co-ed teams. Information sessions for each team are held in late August or early September. Please note that tryouts may be required for some teams.
