CERN collaborates with HUG and other partners to launch 3-day cardiovascular health awareness campaign
September 29th is World Heart Day, a day to raise awareness about cardiovascular disease (CVD) and how to prevent it. In this context, CERN Medical Services, in collaboration with several partners, will run an awareness campaign on cardiovascular health from 26 to 28 September.
As explained in the article “A Healthy Lifestyle for a Healthy Heart” published in the June issue of CHIS Bull, CVD is a group of heart and vascular diseases that include coronary heart disease, These include cerebrovascular disease (stroke), and rheumatism. Heart disease.
The purpose of this interactive campaign is to raise awareness of CVD in the CERN community and provide information and tools to prevent CVD.
It covers several topics such as diet, physical activity, stress management, and first aid, and includes personalized advice from experts to learn more about heart health and risk factors. Geneva University Hospitals (HUG) and the Save-A-Life Association will be giving talks on various topics related to CVD on Tuesday, September 26th from 12:15 to 2:00 pm, and on Wednesday CERN psychologists will We will be holding two sessions on stress management to improve your health. All talks will be held in his IT auditorium on September 27th from 1:30pm and will be webcast and recorded.
