You could say John Pearson has benefited from great jeans. Do you have any personal rituals?

I meditate. I started Transcendental Meditation and now it only takes him 10 minutes to be still.

What did you do for the first time recently?

Ayahuasca ritual. A year ago, one of her older sisters passed away suddenly, and she was devastated. After I returned from England, I talked to my friend of 40 years about this for 6 months. I had a very tender, beautiful, and connecting experience. It was a full 14 hours and I didn’t look at my phone once. I don’t want to be too hippy-dippy, but I’ve come to realize that death is a part of life and to some extent, you have to surrender to the flow of life.

What do you wear most often in your wardrobe?

Cucinelli pants. And Tom Sweeney’s lovely navy blue corduroy cashmere suit is something I feel great wearing every day. And I’m working with a designer in New York called Steven Theo. He made me a wonderful cashmere coat that I take with me when I travel.

Do you have a uniform for specific occasions?

I’ve named three designers, but I’m pretty lame. I’m a guy who lives very simply, wearing his Mason back t-shirt.

What do you want most at the end of the day?

peace. Lightness. I know that my entire family is safe. And I know I did my best.

How can I calm down?

Meditation, breathing exercises, and definitely my true church. I walk along the water at Point Dume in the early morning or at sunset.

What have you recently added to your collection?

I received a wonderful print of a Mongolian desert tribe from photographer John Alexander. It’s exquisite.

What is something you regret not buying recently?

I saw a really beautiful 1958 Triumph car in London, not a motorcycle. I love the California open top, the idea of ​​being a gentleman of a certain age and having to work hard to get through traffic.

What is the most memorable dish you have made?

It goes very well with soup. Makes a great lentil soup. Watercress and potato soup is very delicious. I used to eat a lot of bolognese, but now I don’t eat much meat.

What is your exercise routine and how often do you do it?

I experience periods of absolute intensity with hot yoga. A 90-minute session with over 26 poses at 107 degrees. Sometimes it’s four times a week, but it depends on whether I’m traveling or not.

How can I sleep?

I often go to bed quite early, around 10 or 11 o’clock, then I put down my phone and read a book.

What does success look like to you?

Financial independence. health. A positive, fun and inspiring attitude. Curiosity. growth. Imagine. A rich and all-encompassing presence.

Fogo Island Inn, Newfoundland. Although it looks quite imposing, it manages to create a warm and comfortable atmosphere.
