In March, the Princess of Wales revealed her cancer diagnosis in an emotional video.
Kate Middleton is just days away from a “major milestone” in her battle with a health crisis, according to royal experts.
In March, Prince Charles revealed his cancer diagnosis in an emotional video message, sparking an outpouring of support from royal fans around the world.
Kensington Palace issued a rare update last month, confirming that Queen Elizabeth, who is the mother of three children, would not be performing her usual role on The Colonel’s Revue.
But ITN’s former royal editor Tim Ewart said next week’s flag ceremony marked a “pivotal” milestone in the princess’s recovery process.
“We’re expecting her to be on the balcony at Buckingham Palace but it will be the first time anyone sees her publicly… I think it’s fair to say people here are still quite concerned about her wellbeing,” Ewart told Sky News Australia.
The former ITN royal editor also expressed concern that reports about Prince William’s wife’s health have not changed for some time.
He added: “There have been no official medical reports and it is not yet known what type of cancer Kate has, or specifically what treatment she is receiving.”
“Kate is a colonel in one of the regiments involved so she should have been there (the rehearsal). It’s called the colonel’s rehearsal but she’s not going to be there.”

The colonel’s review comes a week before the more high-profile parade that is part of the King’s Birthday March of the Colour celebrations. Kate is a colonel with the Irish Guards, who are taking part in the event.
In a letter to the Colonel of the Irish Guards, Kate wrote: “It remains a great honour to be a Colonel and I am very disappointed that I will not be able to receive the salute at this year’s Colonel’s Parade.”
“Please convey my apologies to the entire regiment, but I hope to be able to represent you all again soon.”
Prince Charles is not taking part in any royal engagements in 2024 after undergoing abdominal surgery earlier this year and being diagnosed with cancer.
The princess’s public appearances have been few, most notably a personal video message announcing her diagnosis.
