MIAMI, February 14, 2024 (Newswire.com) –
Mirabelle, a senior living community managed by The Arbor Company, has introduced new state-of-the-art fitness equipment to its on-site wellness center. Heyday Fitness, an AI-powered fitness program, was created to help seniors build functional strength. Now, Mirabel is one of the first senior living communities in the country to debut this new technology for its residents.
Heydey Fitness uses AI technology to create personalized fitness plans for seniors. The program provides personalized training without the need for an instructor, automatically setting recovery windows, resistance levels, and reps based on the user’s personal fitness level. With this program, seniors can safely and easily improve their physical fitness and overall health.
Heydey Fitness partnered with Mirabelle to develop and test a pilot program with 20 local seniors. During this period, designers were able to obtain real data and feedback from users and continue developing the equipment to meet user needs. Although Heydey’s equipment is made to be used without a trainer, Mirabelle employs certified fitness instructors in the area to work with residents while using the equipment. The program was piloted in Mirabel but has already been rolled out to other Arbor communities.
This program is ideal for older adults because it helps prevent falls, improve bone density, and reduce the risk of cognitive decline. Since starting this program in late 2023, users are already reporting that they are getting stronger and especially enjoying the adaptability and positive, instant reinforcement of Wellness His program.
