BOSTON — Mansfield has received the 2023 Wellness Excellence Award from the Massachusetts Interstate Insurance Association, the town’s insurance company.
The award was presented in recognition of the town’s overall excellence in wellness best practices, leadership support, creativity, innovation and the presence of an active wellness committee. This was announced on January 20th during his MIIA Annual Business Conference in Boston.
MIIA’s Wellness Team recognized Mansfield’s efforts to provide a wide range of health-related programs to employees under the strong leadership of Town Manager Kevin Dumas and the Town’s Employee Wellness Champions. The town’s health champion seeks feedback from employees to improve the program and encourage participation and use of her MIIA’s online membership portal.
“We are extremely proud of the contributions and hard work of our Wellness Champions,” said Joseine Lemaire, Human Resources Director for the City of Mansfield. “Stephanie Kieris and Amy Donnelly have introduced an innovative program that employees have been extremely receptive to and engaged with. Steph and Amy are taking employee engagement to the next level. Masu.”
Mr. Mansfield regularly participated in MIIA’s Well Aware workshops, which provide practical guidance for employees and their families to live healthier, more vibrant lives. The town offers workshops on mindfulness, fitness, and nutrition, all of which have high participation rates among town and school staff.
