Magens Bay Management Authority has announced the grand opening of the Elliot “Mac” McIver Davis Fitness Trail, a new addition to beautiful Magens Bay Beach. The trail is dedicated to honour the memory and contributions of Elliot “Mac” McIver Davis, who passed away in 2021. Davis was a long-time trustee, marathon runner and avid advocate of fitness and beach tranquility.
The fitness trail was made possible through donations from the Community Foundation of the Virgin Islands (CFVI) and the Magens Bay Conservancy. The fitness trail is a testament to Mac’s dedication to promoting healthy lifestyles and protecting the natural beauty of Magens Bay. While a variety of donors contributed to the project, the Magens Bay Conservancy is proud to have worked to bring this vision to life.
The trail features a series of exercise stations designed to cater for fitness enthusiasts of all levels, providing a scenic and invigorating workout environment amid the stunning backdrop of Magens Bay Beach.
The official ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at Magens Bay Beach on Friday, June 14th at 9am and we invite the community to join us in celebrating this special occasion.
The Magens Bay Conservancy will preserve, without discrimination of any kind, the natural and cultural resources of the Magens Bay Conservancy Park System without impairment, for the enjoyment, education and inspiration of present and future generations.
