Need a place to get work done while still being “human”? A new event space in Montclair could be on your doorstep.
MONTCLAIR, NJ — Need a place to get work done while still being “human”? A new event space in Montclair could be on your doorstep.
Loopwell is a 15,000 square foot facility with indoor and outdoor space that recently opened at 80 Maple Avenue. The self-described “wellbeing hub” has seven distinct areas that serve as hubs for events, corporate wellness experiences, team-building retreats, or other work projects.

The company also hosts a members-only “well-being club” that is available to corporate and individual members.
CEO and co-founder Debbie Rooney said the Maple Avenue facility is more than just an event space; it’s a place focused on “fostering balance, meaningful connections, and purposeful experiences.” .
The space itself is an attempt to embody this approach to doing business. The restored 100-year-old building complies with LEED standards and includes “extensive use” of recycled materials. Rooney and Loopwell chose a “subdued color palette” and also tried to bring natural light into the space.
“We create beautiful, functional spaces that work with organizations that value a holistic, human-centered approach to events,” said Rooney, the daughter of Syrian refugees and a member of the NJAC Advertising Hall of Fame. I wanted to,” he said.
Mr Rooney said there was an “undeniable link” between workplace happiness and increased productivity.
“The pandemic has clearly shown that happiness cannot be achieved through virtual apps and platforms,” says Rooney.
“When people take care of their health, they’re better able to live and work. It’s just common sense,” agrees co-founder Sean Rooney.
