Tuesday Sprint
Every Tuesday afternoon in June, young people can come to the library and take part in fun and educational activities. The program begins at 2pm and will focus on a new activity each week.
This Tuesday’s theme is “LEGO Architects,” where kids will learn about famous landmarks like the Eiffel Tower and the Great Wall of China before trying their hand at building their own structures with LEGO.
June 18th is Astronomy Day, where you can have fun making DIY star jars and identifying constellations.
Finally, on June 25th, young people will learn how to program a robot to behave differently based on the color it sees. No registration is required for these programs.
This month we will be holding puppy yoga at the library.
The puppies will be coming to the library on June 18th.
Join yoga leader Aly Evans and the pups from Leavenworth County Humane Society for puppy yoga at 6 or 7 p.m. Registration is required and participation is $15. All proceeds will benefit LCHS. Yoga sessions are limited to adults and those 15 and older.
To apply and reserve a spot, call the library at 913-845-3281.
