Steph Claire Smith has opened up about her body image insecurities and how she overcame them.
The 28-year-old fitness influencer took to her Instagram Stories on Thursday to open up about her insecurities and share a body-positive message with her fans.
She said that while she used to be concerned about how her arms looked and wished they were “smaller,” she is now proud of the “strength” of her arms. I made it clear.
Steph, who is mum to two-year-old son Harvey, said she had stopped comparing herself to others and assured her followers that everyone has their own insecurities.
Sharing a mirror selfie decked out in gym gear, she wrote: “I was very insecure about my arms. I just wanted to be smaller. I always compare myself to others.
“I look at them now and I’m so proud of their strength. What they can do for me every day. How they help me carry my little boy around every day.
“This is just a friendly reminder that no matter what someone looks like, we all have our ‘stuff’ – the insecurities we feel and have worked through.” think.
And know that it’s the same with your own insecurities, since you can’t always see them from an outside perspective.
“They are more obvious than ever to others.”
Her latest post comes days after she attended Taylor Swift’s Ellas Tour concert in Melbourne on Saturday.
The social media star snagged the coveted tickets and shared a snap gallery of herself decked out for the big night on Instagram.
She showed off her amazing figure in a pink mini dress and paired it with metallic heeled boots while accepting her fans’ dress code.
She completed her look with jeweled eye makeup and carried her essentials in a small pink handbag for the occasion.
“Finally, this day has come! See you again, Swifties,” a tearful Steph told fans as she attended the long-awaited concert.
Back in 2021, Steph surprised fans by revealing her unexpected friendship with global megastar Taylor, 34.
She shared two photos with Taylor during a Q&A with fans on Instagram and opened up about meeting the pop queen.
She explained how they met at a gym when they were young, when Steph was working as a model in New York and Taylor was living there.
“I was training with Justin Gelband. I did some of his classes as well as one-on-one sessions,” she began.
“He trained Taylor, and one day when I went in for a session, she had just finished a session, so we met in the changing room.
“There were a lot of paparazzi in front of the gym, so she wasn’t in a hurry and we were able to chat.”
Taylor, who performed in front of the biggest crowd of her career in Melbourne last week, will be in Sydney this weekend performing four shows from Friday 23 February to Monday 26 February.
