Southern New York’s largest Medicaid managed care plan has earned top rankings in four of the past five years.
New York, June 7, 2024–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Health First PHSP, the largest not-for-profit managed Medicaid care plan in New York State, has again achieved top-tier rankings in overall quality and member satisfaction as measured by the New York State Department of Health’s (NYSDOH) 2022 Medicaid Quality Incentive Program. Among New York State’s 12 managed Medicaid plans, Health First is one of only two plans to achieve a top-tier ranking and the only plan to achieve a top-tier ranking in its service area. The evaluation is based on the plan’s performance in preventive care, behavioral health and medication measures, as well as member satisfaction with plan quality, receiving needed care and customer service. Healthfirst also received the highest score in the NYSDOH Healthy Recovery Plan (HARP) Quality Incentive Program for 2022. HARP is designed to provide integrated management of physical health, mental health and addiction services for adults with significant behavioral health needs.
