Girls Inc. Health Center’s Family Medicine Clinic is increasing patient access by adding new providers and expanding hours. This caused one of the doctor’s girlfriends to come full circle.
Dr. Denai Gordon, who works at Girls Inc. Health Center’s Fontenelle Health Center and Family Medicine Clinic, is familiar with Girls Inc. of Omaha. As she grew up, she spent countless hours at the facility after school and during summer breaks.
“Returning to Girls Inc. Health Center is a full-circle moment for me,” says Dr. Gordon. “It’s a real honor to come back and serve the community in this way.”

Expand your team and hours
In addition to Dr. Gordon, Angela Felton Coleman, DNP, APRN, has joined the health center’s team led by Medical Director Andrea Jones, MD.
“I am honored and excited to be a part of such an important and historic addition to our community,” says Felton Coleman.
Due to the increase in the number of medical workers and doctors working at the health center, business hours have also been expanded. From Monday, February 12th, the health center will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., replacing its previous business hours of 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
“This is a historic moment and a dream come true to be able to celebrate this clinical expansion with such a diverse and inclusive team of clinicians and staff during Black History Month,” says Dr. Jones. “We understand the importance of building trusting relationships with our patients and are committed to improving the health and well-being of the North Omaha community and are able to provide a comprehensive, patient-centered, evidence-based approach. We are in a unique position.”
Dr. Jones added that by addressing the social causes of health, health center teams can help everyone achieve the best health possible.
