Lucas, a former NCT and former WayV member, released the first half of the documentary “FREEZE” on February 24th. After the controversy, he took an indefinite hiatus and parted ways with NCT and its Chinese group WayV. As a result, Lucas was forced to take a long and indefinite hiatus, with no decision as to when he would return to the K-pop scene. Finally, on February 23rd, Lucas posted a photo of himself and tagged a new official account hinting at his possible solo comeback.

Former NCT member Lucas releases first half of documentary “FREEZE” after hiatus

Former NCT member Lucas has released the first half of the documentary “FREEZE” on YouTube, and this can be said to be the first step towards a possible comeback for the artist. This documentary is the first part of his FREEZE and may include more parts. The documentary was released 19 hours ago through his official account on YouTube. The video received over 900,000 views in just a few hours.

For those who don’t know, Lucas went on a long hiatus in August 2021, and in May 2023, it was confirmed that Lucas would be leaving NCT and WayV.

The former NCT member caused controversy when it was discovered that his ex-girlfriend was cheating on him. In FREEZE, Lucas reflects on where he went wrong and thinks about his mistakes and how he wants to make up for them. The artist breaks down barriers and paints a more human picture by speaking candidly about his hiatus as he battled deteriorating mental health following the controversy. Former WayV member Lucas even accepts that he wants his life to end because of his mistakes.

Lucas looks back on his hiatus in newly released documentary ‘FREEZE’

Lucas, a former NCT member, is a rapper, singer, and model under SM Entertainment. He made his official debut in NCT in 2018. In December 2018, he was announced as a member of NCT’s China-based unit WayV. In 2019, he also participated in SuperM, a supergroup formed by SM Entertainment. Lucas stepped back from his career in 2021 following controversy surrounding allegations of gaslighting from a past relationship.

In Lucas’ documentary FREEZE, the K-pop artist is seen being unconditionally honest and talking about a time when he was in a very bad situation, both physically and mentally. Lucas becomes emotional and candidly honest with his manager, who he said was like a friend even during his hiatus. The former NCT member talked about the time when he was stuck at home for nearly half a year and lost the will to do anything. He accepts that his hair and weight loss during this period is indicative of his physical health. Lucas was so depressed mentally that even thoughts of ending his own life crossed his mind. There was also a time when he, a former WayV member, gave up on himself.

Lucas, a former NCT member, delves into the time when he was alone in a space where he was not mentally or physically healthy, and captures it from an unfiltered perspective. He reflects on his mistake and apologizes. He is remorseful and he feels that everything that happened could have been avoided if he had not done something in the past. SuperM member Lucas hinted at a possible comeback in the near future with a new documentary and new official account. As the artists gear up, we hope for the best and look forward to SuperM member Lucas’ comeback.
