Adventist Health has appointed Sam Leonor as the health system’s new chief mission officer, effective July 1, 2024. In this important role, Leonor will play a key role in ensuring Adventist Health’s mission and deeply held values are woven into every aspect of strategic planning and day-to-day operations.
For the past five years, Leonor has served as Director of Mission Identity and Spiritual Care for Adventist Health.

Leonor will be responsible for leading discussions on Adventist Health strategy and ethics, mission fit, spiritual care, relationships with faith communities, and the theological foundations of health care.
